Oh No Headaches

i have yet another problem lol lately ive been getting headaches everyday which could be for these reasons
1. i dont eat enough(i only eat 2 meals a day)
2. i have bad posture which according to my parents can result in headaches
3. im on the computer a lot
i even tried staying off the computer for a while but i still have headaches and my mom says that if this continues i will have to go the doctors-which i hate and i dont know what to do! but this happens like every summer so maybe its just the heat. has this happened to anyone?

YES, totally! Your problem sounds exactly like mine...I've been plagued by headaches since I was little and sometimes I'll get REALLY bad ones(like migraines). I do think a good deal of it is from the heat, as you said. Lots of people around me are complaining of headaches and they think it's due to the humidity.

Also, I saw you mentioned your diet...besides not eating enough(which certainly does affect it), what sorts of things are you eating? Sodium intake can make your headaches worse so try and cut back on salt-- increase water.

Try to limit your computer time, if you can I know for me it's hard...but it helps to have a light on when you watch t.v. and/or go online...looking at the screen in darkness is worse for the eyes.

Hope my advice helped

I get horrible migraines from being tired and from certain foods. I have really bad food allergies... tomatoes, potatoes, red meat, anything with large quantities of MSG, etc. Sometimes I cheat and eat whatever I want, but I usually pay for it later.

Also, I have to drink at least 3 or 4 bottles of water a day or I get one.

You might be getting eye strain, I used to have headaches all the time and that was the cause.

The only time I really get them is if I sleep in for too long. I've discovered that if I wake up around the same time everyday and keep a consistant sleep scedule the headaches are a lot less frequent. I also am sure to keep up on my annual eye exams as well.

That is EXACTLY like me. EXACTLY! In fact, I have a headache right now because I'm hungry and I don't know what I want to eat, therefore I'm not eating. lol

I get headaches when I lay around watching T.V to much. I don't get them that often though.

I am the queen of headache suffering. I am not sure what type of headaches they are, but they "feel" like sinus headaches because I can feel them around my skeletal eye socket/lachrimal tear duct area, especially on my right side. I've gotten my body used to ingesting Sinus capsules and Motrin. I know, it's not good, but I'm dependent on it.... *gulps*

I think part of the headache problem is the TV/monitor. I just refuse to cut down on them, especially my online habit. It's very difficult for me. I'm so addicted!

Apart from that, my mom, my sister, and co-workers all keep telling me I have to get them medically checked out because of the frequent attacks. My sister says I might even have a tumor! Yikes!

There are times I can become so vulnerable. Right before my period, they can be sooo untolerable and accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light/noise. Other times I am more prone when I am stressed out about something/someone or even when the heat gets to me. I don't know, but I feel like a lost cause. I REALLY need to get it checked out. Seriously. I just don't motivate myself enough... Ugh....

Physicians aren't really sure what causes them. Chocolate and cheese may set off a migraine for one person and not another, even if they both suffer from them regularly.

Medical experts think that migraines occur when the blood vessels in the brain first constrict, then expand. When they expand, these blood vessels press against the nerves in the brain causing pain.

Me, too. I get headaches if I sleep too long. Only happens about 8 times/year. Taking advil usually aborts the headache.

You would know if you have a migraine. I get migraines. They are theeeeee worst pain you could have in your head. (Other than a shotgun blast anyhow) but if it's a headache that is recurring and worse than a typical headache it could be related to being at the computer. I was having real bad headaches but lo and behold, it was due to my neck and the strain of being on the computer. I went to a physical therapist who did wonders for me. He taught me these exercises that helped my whole neck and head feel so much better. The physical therapy was great. Note, I had gone to a chiropractor first. BIG MISTAKE. He was telling me about my neck is not straight (I was later told by the physical therapist this is something typically said by chiropractors, in general). The physical therapist said: "Wait, let me guess" and proceeded to tell me word for word what the chiropractor had told me. He says all his patients tend to go to chiropractors first, and then end up going to physical therapy. Man, I felt so much better after the first visit. Mind you, after ten sessions with the chiropractor, I felt worse, instead of better. Headaches can usually be a symptom of something else. Have it checked out. I am glad I did.
