Some members were trying to tell me that the show SANFORD was a spinoff. I explained that Sanford was not a spinoff, it was a Remake of the Original Show, a New Version, not a spinoff. Anyone agree with me when I say Sanford was a REMAKE of the Original Show an not a spinoff?

Thanks-lol I was trying to explain that if the MAIN CHARACTER is on the show, it's never a spinoff. Like Archie on Archie Bunker's Place and Jack on Three's a Crowd. They were not spinoffs just continuations. Now in Sanford's case, that was just a newer version of S&S

Okay, SOLOMON, I do want to agree with you on this topic but there are people that say that these are spinoffs. Suprisingly, I do agree with you on the area about the continution. These shows are definitely continuations of the originals. However, Fred Rubin, one of the writers for Archie Bunker's Place said something about it being a spinoff. To me, it does not seem that way. It seems as though All In The Family got a makeover and Archie Bunker's Timeline continued. Unfortunately shows like "Golden Palace", "Sanford", "Archie Bunker's Place" have been considered spinoffs. To me, they look like continuations. Yay! We agree on something!

It is not a "remake"- to remake is to redo the original.
If anything it is a continuation, it takes place in the same world with the same main character after time has progressed. |
