The E! True Hollywood Story...

I just recently became a big fan of Good Times when TVLand started to air it, and I know they had an E! True Hollywood story made about it in the 90's. I heard that there was a lot of fighting and bickering on set, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the Hollywood Story highlighted, or what some of the problems were on set. I rememer watching a preview for it once, and an interviewer said that things got really intense on the set.

1. Esther Rolle and John Amos unhappy with the silliness of the J.J character

2.Janet Dubious not happy with the Willona character always cracking jokes

3.John Amos was fired after Norman Lear read an article with Amos saying all the things that went on behind the scene.

4.Esther Rolle leaving the show because J.J character was still Silly after John Amos Left

5. The Show Original Title was-"The Black Family"
but later changed to Good Times

Not to discourage you from watching the E! Hollywood true story, but you won't like it. It only lasted an hour and they didn't talk about the show enough. Not enough details or anything.

I'm always doing research on the show so if there is anything you want to know jusdt ask and I will try to help out as best as I can. One thing I can tell you is that TV GUIDE gave this show a very good reveiew in April of 1974
