Default Are you good with directions?

Okay, so I just totally hijacked Janice's thread idea

If I actually CARE about getting to a certain place, yes, I'm good with directions. I'll get there if it's the last thing I do. But if I really don't like the place I'm going, I'll just sit back and watch everyone scramble as we end up in East Africa.

So?

Hey you! Remind me never to tell you about a thread idea in a PM again.

I am the absolute worst when it comes to directions. In fact, I have absolutely NO sense of direction. I can't count the times that I've been in my car, shaking like a leaf on the verges of tears, lost as hell. My husband tells me that I'm sure to be found dead in the trunk of a murderer's car someday, lol.

I know what I know, but beyond that, forget about it. I know how to get to the mall, the video store, grocery store, people's houses, etc. I don't get lost once I know the way, but if it's uncharted territory, I get lost 90% of the time.

My husband has been driving me to doctor's appointments, job interviews, etc, for years. He even mimics Morgan Freeman, and says, "Yesss, Miss Daisy".

My friends usually pick me up when we go out, if we're heading to a new restaurant or something.

Total loser when it comes to directions.

And Karly, I'll get you back for this.

I'm TERRIBLE with directions. I work as a shipping clerk and truck drivers are always calling and asking for directions and I just end up confusing them even more. When I'm driving somewhere, I usually go by landmarks instead of street names. Whenever someone is trying to give me directions and they say go south on such and such a road I get totally lost. Just say left or right. It's easier for me to understand that way.

If it's a good drive, I go to mapquest and learn the directions. I write them down and take them with me.No problems getting there

I'm horrible with directions. I don't drive yet and I never pay attention to where I'm going. I barely know the way around my own town.

Actually I'm pretty good at directions. I've studied geography and street maps since I was 7 and I know every backroad, cul-de-sac and shortcuts there are in my area. And if I'm in a new place I just pick up a map and I know what I'm doing.

my friends always remind me that im the kind of person you dont want to get behind on the road....because 9 times out of 10 i have no idea where im going.
ill have to change lanes at the last second, stop in a shopping center to dig through maps, call someone and beg for help, or my favorite- just drive around until i see something familiar.
