Default Jack and Janet's Bet in "The Fast"

Something that I have always noticed every time I watch the episode "The Fast" is the way Janet wanted to make a bet with Jack about willpower and the different genders, but yet, she took no part in the bet. Instead, she made Chrissy give up food to represent the women, when really the bet was between she and Jack. Why didn't she give up something so she could make her bet with Jack? It's only fair. This is something that always crosses my mind when I watch this episode. I am in no way trying to put down Janet's character, because she is my second favorite, but it never made any sense to me as to why she wouldn't take part in the bet, and give something up herself.

Yeah, I always wondered that too I wonder what she would have to give up if she had taken part in it.

Good point, and good question! Maybe because Chrissy was eating at the time when she wasn't supposed to be?

We never really knew that Chrissy was a big eater until this episode, so they could of always made it so they would introduce what Janet would give up in this episode as they did with Chrissy.

Good point. Although Chrissy did eat Jack's pie when he wanted to enter it in the contest...but that was only one other episode...good point, though!

Yes, good point too, but "The Bake-Off" was after the episode "The Fast".

Good point too! ^

But maybe Janet would've been more persistent with keeping the bet up, and they wanted Chrissy because she seems more vunerable. I think it is a lot more comedic with Chrissy having to give up food, and Janet "egging" her on!

I think you're right....that's probably why they made it that way. It's more comedic because we all know that if it were Janet that gave something up, she would be VERY stubborn, and there would be nothing funny about it. Good point!! I think that's the answer!

Well, actually in the episode Alone Together, after Janet tells Jack about Chrissy being upset he didn't try anything, he makes a comment about Chrissy eating. Remember? She comes out eating a cupcake or something and he asks her what wrong then he tells her that he knows something is wrong because she always eats when she's upset.

Ahh, that's true. I forgot about that one. But it was never really said that she had a habit of eating a lot in this episode ("Alone Together"), Jack just told her "You always eat too much when you're upset."
