If Mel's chili was so bad, why did people keep ordering it and sending it back if they already knew it was awful? That chili was his specialty too.
No wonder they thought it killed that food critic in the diner. That chili was super thick and pasty looking. It looked like you could cement bricks together with that stuff. I don't think I would want to eat anything from Mel's. His shirt was always chili stained. I don't care if Flo was my waitress or not.

You mean in the entire city of Phoenix Mel's was the only place that served chili? Well, I bet they have Wendy's.

They made the chili sound so bad on the show that it was almost irresistable to me to jump through the TV screen and eat a mess of it.

Hi gang...
I think I would MUCH have preferred Carrie's chili...everyone at the diner liked her pies the best as I recall... And if Flo would have served up the PIE...my OH my ![]() I bet since it was Pheonix, that chili was EXCEPTIONALLY HOT...if that is the case, while I would LOVE to try to eat it just for the memories it would give me of seeing all those folks at the diner, I'd have to pass... ![]() GREAT TOPIC

If somebody didn't want chili, I guess they could go down the street to Barney's Burger Barn or whatever it was called.
