Default Movies/Tv Roles That Actors Were Born to Play

Guys,

Sometimes a character will perform so brilliantly in a certain movie or TV role, that you can not even watch another movie with the actor portraying a different charactor. Mods or admin might want to sticky the list that I am about to create. That is think of any actor or actress that did their role so well in a movie or TV series, that you just can't think of them in another movie role. These are charactors, movies, and TV roles that are treasured and have withstood the test of time! In other words, what movie or TV roles were characters BORN to play:

HERE IS MY LIST:

1.) Gene Wilder- Willy Wonka in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory"

2.) Bob Denver- Gilligan in "Giligan's Island"

3.) Jack Nickelson- R.P MacMurphy in "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest."

4.) Louise Fletcher- Nurse Ratchet in "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Next"

5.) Jerry Mathers- "The Beaver" in "Leave it to Beaver"

6.) Ken Osmond- "Eddie Haskell" in "Leave it to Beaver"

7.) Judy Garland- "Dorothy Gale" in "The Wizard of Oz"

8.) Julie Andrews- "Maria" in "Sound of Music"

9.) Julie Andrews- "Mary Poppins" in "Mary Poppins"

10.) Al Pachino-"Arther Kirkland, (the defense lawyer) in "And Justice For All."

Of your list I’d have to agree with Bob Denver, Jerry Mathers and Ken Osmond.

Add to that: Henry Winkler as Fonzie on Happy Days.

But I have seen the others in various other memorable roles.

Having said that… Al Pacino with always be “Serpico” to me.

Other choices? Hmm…

Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates in “Psycho”

Janet Leigh as Marion Crane in “Psycho”

Christopher Reeve as Superman

Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O’Hara in “Gone With The Wind”

I’m sure there are more, but…

uummmmmm, you got Julie Andrews playing 2 roles...doesnt that DQ her?

My list
Julie Newmar as Catwoman ( others are lame at best, by comparison )
Bob Denver as Willie Gilligan, yup agreed
Bogart as "Rick" in Casablanca
Ron Howard as Richie
Arthur Lake as Dagwood with Penny Singleton as Blondie ( Penny was later Jane Jetson )
and possibly more to come....

Loadsa people have played her, but Bette Midler was born to play Mama Rose in 'Gypsy'

Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's- there'll never be another Audrey Hepburn but especially in this role she puts her own stamp on it.

Even though the part was orig slated to go to Tom Poston, can anyone NOW imagine anyone ELSE but rubber-faced Don Adams as Maxwell Smart?

Did you know that Robert DeNiro screen tested for the Michael Corleone roll?
