Season Two DVD-altered episode? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

In the episode "Nyet, Nyet" on television and vhs, there is a scene where the Skipper is keeping Gilligan up snoring. On the dvd, you can't hear him because of the music. Can someone with a vhs copy check and see if the music has been changed? Thanks!

I checked out my copy on tape and yes you can hear the Skipper snoring. According to Gilligan it sounds like a jet plane with asthma

Is the music the same during the snoring?

yes, but its not as loud

I dug up my old VHS tape of this episode and the snoring is definitely much louder and more distinct. In fact, I think most of the snoring was dubbed in post-production and they neglected to put it back in when they remastered the audio for the DVD. I put my ear up close to the speaker while watching the DVD and I didn't hear any snoring at all except a very little bit about a second before Gilligan says it sounds like a jet plane with asthma.
