Monica's Apartment Number - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Did anyone else notice that in the first episode the number on monica's apartment was 5 and in the rest of the episodes was 20
Plus Joey's number was 4 but after the first episode was 19

The producers decided that 4 and 5 didn't match up with the exterior shot of the apartment.

To me it would have made more sense if they just kept the same numbers. 19 and 20 are still low numbers. They would be in pretty much the same area.

The numbers should have been higher since they're on the fifth floor.

When was it ever mentioned that they lived on the fifth floor? If that's true I'm surprised I don't remember that.
