Default The Spike Lee movies

My favorite Spike Lee movies are "Do The Right Thing", "Malcolm X" "Get On the Bus", "School Daze" "Bamboozled"
It is a shame the white critics criticizes his work. They think he's a racist militant. He is nothing like that. He wants reality in his movies, and he doesn't uses the N word in none of his flicks.

I like just about every Spike Lee movie but probably my 7 favorites are:

Get On The Bus
Malcolm X
25th Hour
School Daze
Do The Right Thing
Clockers
He Got Game

About critics, they criticize all movies, not just Spike's movies. And I'm sure you'll find reviews of his films from white critics who give him praise and don't think he's being a racist militant.

I'm a fan of Spike Lee movies. My favorites are:

Do The Right Thing
School Daze
Bamboozled
She Hate Me
Malcolm X
Crooklyn
25th Hour

As far as critics goes, I think because Spike Lee is African-American, they expect his movies to deal with gang banging. You know, the stereotypical black movie. Spike is not like that at all. His movies have meaning. They make you think.

I forgot about Crooklyn. That was one of my favs. I love the theme song by The Stylistics that opened up the movie. I can't remember the song title.

My favorite Spike Lee films are Do The Right Thing & Jungle Fever. He's workin on a new movie with Denzel Washington right now which is gonna be Denzel & Spike's 4th movie together. I don't know the name of the new movie they're workin on. I saw Denzel on the big screen at BET awards this past July talkin about he was in New York workin on a new movie with Spike. Denzel wasn't able to speak at the BET awards in person to accept his humanitarian award so his wife came on stage to accept the award for him but they showed Denzel on the big screen making a videotaped speech about the award. Denzel should've won a oscar for Malcolm X. He did so good in that movie. Spike Lee is startin to slip. His last 2 movies 25th Hour & She Hate Me sucked to me.

I thought 25th Hour was good. I think the most powerful scene was in the bathroom, when Monty was looking at himself in the mirror. He was saying alot of things that we all think about but never say.

You know, alot of people didn't like She Hate Me.

I don't like any of his movies. Do The Right Thing was ok, but overall, I don't like his flicks.
