Default Favourite Beatle?

Alright, everyone says "Ohhh, I love them all!". But, thats a lie. Once and for all, who is the best Beatle?!?

Alright, it's hard to chose... but, right now I'm listening to George Harrisons "Acoustic Masterpeices" and it's excellent. I downloaded it from DimeaDozen and it's all un- released acoustic songs and it's brilliant. So, George gets my vote.

John Winston Lennon 1940-1980...there is on one is music who I admire more then this man. Be it his work with The Beatles or his solo albums, he was simply beyond amazing.

My heart belongs to John, although Paul is very, very close.

Lennon and McCartney are both great, but I think Lennon had more "great" recordings

I'd have to agree with you...Lennon's solo work is so much better to me...although, I do love Paul's solo stuff, just not on the same level. Paul's Beatle stuff however....

George 'cause he was the first Beatle to mock Beatlemania.

I voted for John. Since his untimely and tragic death, he has now become an almost mythical figure in the hearts and minds of his fans...

Each of The Beatles was fabulously talented. No other band's members all had successful solo careers. But, since no one else here has picked him, I'll go with Ringo Starr. There was a scene in the film "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" in which Ringo received the most fan mail. In the early days of the group, that wasn't far from the truth. And it was after he joined them that the group took off. He was (in the words of one reporter) "the ingredient that completed the quartet" ... or, in my nephew's words: "the icing on the cake." Brian Epstein predicted that Ringo would probably prove to be the best actor in the group. And he has made more solo movie appearances (albeit in unmemorable flicks). But I always liked Ringo because, to me, he seemed to be the most approachable. John was the intellectual (although he hated that label), Paul was the "cute" one, and George was the quiet Beatle. But nearly everybody liked Ringo.
