what was the very first TV DVD you watched, and what was the first thing you watched on it?

My first one was disc 1 of season 1 of "The Dick Van Dyke show" and the first thing I watched on it was "Head of the Family" the pilot for the series that Carl Reiner wrote & starred in, with Barbera something as his wife.

the first season of Sex And The City, I watched the pilot episode. When I bought that over 4 years ago I had NO idea how big TV-DVD would become. While I bought season 1 and 2 in 2001, I didn't buy another set until Buffy The Vampire Slayer came out in early 2002.

My first TV on DVD was The Golden Girls: Season 1. I watched the pilot episode, "The Engagement" on Christmas Day last year. I haven't been collecting TV on DVD for very long, as it is only recently that my favourite TV shows have been released on DVD.

The Carol Burnett Show Stoppers - May of 2003.

Cheers - Season 1 in November of 2003. Of course, I watched the first episode. I thought it was pretty neat.

I think most of us usually watch the first episode when we get a set first. The one exception I can think of was season 1 of Diff'rent Strokes. I watched "The Girls School", the season finale FIRST, because it was the pilot for Facts Of Life.

On Christmas, with the new DVD player my dad got for Christmas from my mom, the 1st dvd to go in, "Three's Company- Season One", a gift from my brother.

I watched the pilot, and the second and third episodes.

First tv related thing I bought was the miniseries Roots in January 2002. Later that year I got the Schoolhouse Rock collection. First regular series I got was a single disc Good Times Columbia House collection of the first four episodes, a few months before the first season set was released. First season set was Sopranos season 3.

I'd say I watched Schoolhouse Rock first, what I specifically watched on that disc first: I don't remember.

That wasn't released that far back. It came out in 2003.
