Default I am so sick of Natalee Holloway news

OK, this girl has been missing for over 2 months now and she has dominated FOX NEWS, MSNBC, and even CNN Primetime. Yes, I feel bad that she is most likely dead and did not deserve what happened to her. But people turn up missing and abducted every day. Get this off the National news and let her hometown and Aruba focus on this matter. It is very disrespectful to sensationalize this family when so many others are going through the same thing. This Natalee girl was sure not a saint, she just has the wild child look written all over her. I am not saying she asked to be killed, but she sure wasn't being a good little girl that night either.

Well, I can relate with Miss Golden. They have been covering this story a lot, and all the results have been negative. I know it's sad to hear, but after a while, you just start to not care about it anymore.

Now, I'm not saying the crime committed was right, but after a while of hearing the same stuff over and over again, you get less and less interested in the story.

The main problem is not that she is missing.

The problem is that the Aruban police are a bunch of idiots who probably couldn't pass criminal investigation 101. Basically for the first few weeks... The most important weeks, they did nothing to try and find this young lady. That indicates they are either totally incompetent or had no intention of trying to find her, either way that is the part that I cannot stand.

If I was president, the Arubans would have two choices, either turn over the investigation, and everything related to it, to the FBI, or face American military force.

Failing to at least try and investigate someones disappearance is no better than kidnapping them, I will not tolerate nations that treat American lives with such disregard. If Aruba had done the same thing in regards to a Roman citizen two-thousand years ago, the island would have already been burned to the ground and planted with salt, I do not think it is unreasonable for us to demand the investigation turned over to us if they are unwilling to properly investigate this.

Then again, it's already too late, at this point I do not think it can be solved, our politicians did not put enough pressure on the Aruban government, and because of that we will probably never know what happened to her.

And that is the worst part of all.

just because she was at a night club?

i agree though. people go missing all the time, and it's important to spread awareness but her case is the one getting all the attention. i didn't understand that about the scott peterson case either. any murder is serious, but i didn't see why that one was so damn special and so much more important than the dozens of other people murdered in this country every day.

In Scott Petersons case, he killed his wife and unborn child to be with another woman. That doesnt happen a lot.

Also I agree, if that was your daughter, you would be doing everything you can to keep it fresh on people's minds. Look what it did for Elisabeth Smart and Shasta Groene. You can't let people forget.

And the Ramsey case - that went on for years, yet justice still hasn't been served.

Just the fact that at lot of suspicious arrests, releases, arrests, releases and other issues have continued in a foreign country, is enough to keep it a high profile news story. The pressure has to be kept on the Aruban gov't or she'll never been found, the case will go cold and the (probably killers) will be allowed to walk.

Just ask John Walsh what it's like to have a missing child. No one should judge until you've walked in their shoes. Which I wouldn't wish on anyone.

I agree, plus, there are so many twists and turns in the Hollaway case that you can't just turn away from it.

Actually... the coverage is down considerably because there's barely any news now.

If Natalle Holloway did not have the beautful long blonde hair and the pretty little face and body, same with her mother, she is attractive for her age. If these people were overweight and ugly, it would be lucky to make the Alabama news.

Yes, the constant coverage does become irritating. but i know if my daughter, sister, cousin, friend was abducted I would hope for the same amount of coverage. Most people say that shes most likely dead but you have to carry on hope until she's found whether alive or dead. I can only imagine how devastating it must be to be a mother and not know if your daughter is alive

I doubt that. But I do know that many people that are abducted never get news coverage. its sad but in certain parts of the country abductions are expected. I think this needs to be turned around. I also think there should be an Amber Alert channel on TV to help get the attention of the public

You are right about there should indeed be an Amber Alert channel 24/7.
