My Three Sons:One show,two lovable old coots.Not sure who is who?Here is a Bub-Uncle Charlie guide.

Bub:Bald
Uncle Charlie:Red-haired

Bub:Tells boring show-biz stories
Uncle Charlie:Tells boring sailor stories

Bub:A widower,at peace with himself
Uncle Charlie:A bachelor,just going through the motions

Bub:At war with the household appliances
Uncle Charlie:Just hard on himself

Bub and Uncle Charlie:KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!

Bub was a kind old grandfather who added a lot to the show.His departure left a void that Uncle Charlie never completely filled.

-and except for a few times in the second half of the 5th season,after Uncle Charlie had joined the cast,Bub was never mentioned again-almost as though he'd never existed.So many times when a character leaves a show,he or she isn't refered to again after the final episode he/she appears in.
