I don't get why you shouldn't hit someone who's wearing glasses?

I hear this in a lot of shows, "You wouldn't hit someone who's wearing glasses, would you?

do you know how much glasses cost???????

plus, the whole "glasses" image used in most TV shows is a poor defenceless nerd who has asthma and can't defend themselves

but i repeat, do you know how much a good pair of glasses cost?? especially w/ out insurance

Uh...you really shouldn't hit someone in the face anyway, regardless if they're wearing glasses or not.

handy tip: if someone IS going to punch you in the face, if you lower your forehead and actually headbutt their hand with it, you will hurt them a LOT more than it will hurt you - do it right and they will probably never try to punch anyone in the face ever again....

I don't really understand why they say it either, because it kind of sounds like they're saying "But it's OK to hit someone if they're NOT wearing glasses!"

It's not OK to hit ANYONE- regardless if they're wearing glasses.
