Default UCLA has original One Day At A Time pilot

I was checking the UCLA Film and TV archives website and it looks like they have the original ODAAT pilot that may have never aired.

The pilot is called "Three to Get Ready" and the cast is: Bonnie Franklin, Mackenzie Phillips, Marcia Rodd, Pat Harrington, Tom Aldredge, Lewis J. Stalden, Wendy Wright-Hay, and Victor Kilian. VAlerie Bertinelli is not listed.

Notes: First pilot for what would eventually become the long-running series One Day at a Time broadcast on CBS.

They do have the other ODAAT pilot that centers on Julie wanting to go on a camping trip with boys.

I guess if I want to see it I can always go to UCLA. This early pilot would make a great extra on the DVD set.

I wonder what parts all those other actors played?? The only ones I remember from the "re-done" pilot on Antenna are the 5 main cast members from that time (sounds like Valerie wasn't the only later add-in, as I don't see Richard Masur's name in that first list of original pilot stars).

From The Sitcoms of Norman Lear book I can write this : Ann was a nurse, one of the guys was Dr. Carl Silvers, a love interest for Ann, and Marcia Rodd was upstairs neighbor Gael Morris.

Poor Marcia Rodd. At least twice she almost made it into the cast of a hit TV show. In 1972, she was in the backdoor pilot for Maude that aired as an episode of All in the Family, playing Maude's daughter, Carol. Of course, by the time the series launched she got replaced by Adrienne Barbeau.
