How do you do the new spoiler thing?

I tried to do a post with it but I couldn't figure it out.

Place the [spoiler] tag in front of what you want in the spoiler box, followed by [/sp oiler] (WITHOUT THE SPACE) once you're done with the spoiler

I noticed that even after I highlight the messages I STILL can't read it. Maybe it has to do with the color I have to highlight it. I have it set on purple now.
