I got a dvd with all 9 M*U*S*H cartoons on it, it was a late 70s early 80s spoof of MASH with cartoon dogs, very funny

There were actually more than 9 of M*U*S*H segments, as the link provided above indicates. It was part of a show called Uncle Croc's Block. You can see a cast list here. Read more about M*U*S*H and Uncle Croc's Block here.

I vaguely remember the M*U*S*H cartoon, but I did remember that it was part of another show.
