And again when she was angry at the womens' support group meeting when she was leaving, the audience laughed. What was wrong with these damn people??? Did they find joy in other peoples' misery???

I've seen that a lot during shows of that time(the 70s). I think it was almost nervous laughter, as audiences probably weren't accustomed to "comedy" shows introducing such serious subjects. Could be they were a bit shocked and didn't know how to react. Just my opinion!

Excellent point. I prefer the real laughter that was used in this show and shows like it though. Better than canned laughter added in. This show was like going to the theater. Despite the inappropriate laughter or whatever the audience was doing though, the actors never broke their stride.

Probably Because the scene with Florida being FURIOUS one minute and Running Off Crying the Next Minute was a little Corny-lol

I kinda laughed at that part myself because Florida has this goofy expression on her face & she makes them goofy sobbing noises while she's running to the room.

It would have been better for Michael to run away crying instead of Florida. By Florida doing it, you couldn't help but Laugh-lol
