Does anyone besides me think they are really awesome? I even think they are better than Sly and the Family Stone. Ironically, Larry Graham was part of Sly and the Family Stone, before he got Graham Central Station together. Larry Graham was also good as a solo artist, too.

Yeah I agree! But I love both Sly and Larry Graham. Larry is a great and underrated bass player. And just a side note: Larry Graham almost started a band with Neal Schon of Journey, but the project never came through. I think Neal even played with Sly and the Family Stone, but he (Neal) wanted to do too many improve things and they (Sly) weren't into that so he didn't stay with them.

I am a finatic of Larry Graham & Sly Stone. I used Larry's name in one of the rate the singer games, and Superstar didn't know who Larry or Sly and the Family Stone were.
IMO if you don't know the singer or group don't answer "never heard of them". Move on to another game and let someone who has heard of him/them answer. From a female perspective, Larry Graham is also fine ![]() But honestly he is awesome on the electric guitar. Graham is the pioneer of slap-pop on the electric guitar. He toured with Prince in 2000. No one can touch Larry's baritone and base voice. I miss the psychadelic soul/funk era. Both groups are legends.

Larry Graham was with Sly & the Family Stone at the time before he went to formed Graham Central Station and then later a solo artist with his hit "One in a Million You".

I have all their albums except for "My Radio Sounds Good To Me".
I don't know if they're better than Sly (I don't own all his stuff), but it sounds like GCS certainly had more fun on their records. |

There goes Musicradio77 posting another wack post telling us something we already know LOL. I never heard any Graham Central Station albums. My parents has a couple of albums by Sly & The Family Stone but i haven't listened to them. I've heard their songs Stand, Everyday People, I Wanna Thank You For Letting Me Be Myself, Hot Fun In The Summertime, Family Affair. Larry does have a deep voice. Only solo song i heard by him is One In A Million. GarfieldKool Ernie Isley of the Isley Brothers doesn't play bass guitar. He plays electric guitar. Marvin Isley plays bass guitar.
