We've gotten lots of e-mails this morning from excited Knots Landing fans, telling us that they have gotten the following message overnight that was sent by the folks at KnotsLanding.net:

Dear Fans,

We are pleased to be the first to announce that Warner Brothers in the US will release the first series of Knots Landing on DVD in 2006. We do not currently have an exact date for release but we understand it to be early 2006. We will bring you further information as it comes in.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the DVD Lobby at KnotsLanding.Net which accumulated 1000's of signatures from fans.

Good news. We'll talk to our contacts at Warner just as soon as we can get ahold of them, and see if they have anything to add. The news isn't exactly surprising to us, because earlier this year we spoke to Warner at an online chat, and they said Knot's Landing was a potential title for release (as they said about The Flash, also recently confirmed).. Great to know that they're following through, however. Thanks to everyone who wrote in to us this morning. Stay tuned for further developments!

A lot of us Knots fans are soooooo excited. Yes, the information sounds a bit sketchy but the moderator at the KnotsLanding.Net message board said that the site owner got word from their official contact, just like how they got word about Dallas coming to DVD. So it sounds like this is indeed going to happen!
