Default Random Idol News

So, now that we're on an Idol hiatus, there has to be some stuff going on with them, so if you've found anything out, post it here.

- Mikalah Gordon will be a recurring character on "Living With Fran". I think she'll be on the first episode of the second season, which will be sometime in September.

- Jasmine Trias, John Stevens, and LaToya London have all released albums, or are about to release albums this summer.

- William Hung sold 667 copies of his latest album. Guess his 15 minutes are up.

- Vote for Jasmine Trias here - http://www.myspace.com/thefantanas - at the myspace contest.

- I read somewhere that Bo Bice broke his foot. I'm not sure how true this one is as the place I read it in wasn't too credible.

- Carrie Underwood is not only the Hershey's girl; she's the skechers girl. Her ads will be appearing soon.

- Carrie Underwood will be on an ABC special tomorrow -- something about the Grand Opre (?), which she will be appearing on later this year.

- Diana DeGarmo is NOT with RCA anymore. She asked to be let go because they weren't really doing a good job with her career.

- Not really news, but a few days ago, I found www.carmenrasmusen.com/audio.php, and you can listen to her thoughts on each week of Idol starting with top 8 night. She's actually a very insightful critiquer, and she also gives some backstage info from Season 2.

- Kelly Clarkson is nominated for 2 VMA's (Best Pop Video and Best Female Video for SUBG), and is in the running for the Viewer's Choice Award.

Bice Breaks Foot During Concert
Aug 2, 2:00 PM EST

Sample & download Bo Bice's music

The Associated Press

NEW YORK -- For Bo Bice, it's the shoes. The "American Idol" finalist broke his foot Sunday night performing in Manchester, N.H. — and says his misfortune is due to a change in footwear.

"There's a part where I go running across the stage and do these jump-ups and flip around in circles and normally I wear cowboy boots, but about three or four shows ago, they started sliding on me," Bice told MTV News.

"I was worried I was gonna trip and fall and hurt myself, so I changed to tennis shoes and they got a lot better grip, too good of a grip."

He landed wrong and felt a snap: "I tried to stand back up and just collapsed. I thought, `Something's not good here.'"

Bice was singing "I Don't Want to Be," his first song of the "American Idols Live!" concert when he slipped. He managed to finish the tune and the other four songs in his solo set.

He plans to finish the tour.

"I think I'm gonna get away with wearing an air cast and I'm going to have to use this bone-regenerator kinda thing," he said. "It's looking like no more running around for the rest of the tour. I'm gonna be stuck trying to pull off a piano song or something."

My opinions/comments on each of these items:

-Wow. The thing Paula said about Mikalah starring on a sitcom with Fran Drescher turned out to be true!
-I don't think I'm up for buying John and LaToya's albums, but I'm willing to give both a listen. Jasmine's CD rocks, you all should get it.
-I didn't even know William Hung released another album. And that's a very bad number.
-I'll vote for Jasmine!
-Poor Bo. I hope I still get to see him on tour.
-I heard about Carrie being the new spokesperson for Sketchers. I love Sketchers, and I love her, just like Hershey's Chocolate!
-However, I won't be watching Carrie tomorrow, unless I come across it while channel-surfing.
-Oops. I misread the item about Diana. I thought they fired her. My bad, that was cruel. Anyway, at least she's off the Idol contract now and free to go off on her own. Kudos to her for taking initiative, even though I have to admit that RCA gave her a pretty crap-ass deal. She was my fave on AI3 along with Jasmine, so more power to her.
-I have no interest in Carmen Rasmussen. Sorry. =/
-Good luck to Kelly! I'll give her my vote for Viewer's Choice!

My thoughts:

- Haha that's awesome, I'm glad for her
- Unfortunatley I don't think I'll be getting their albums. I would buy Jasmine's but I heard it's only avaliable online
- Wow that's a bad number, though I'm not surprised
- Cool

- Poor Bo, I heard Nadia was sick too
- Carrie is doing so great, she's really sucessful
- I'll watch
- Good for Diana. Maybe now she'll find a record company that actually cares about her and her career and she can get her career on the right track

- Cool

- Yaay Go Kelly Although I think BTHE should be nominated

I can't wait for Mikalah to join up with Fran. I wish the Nanny was still on and Mikalah could have teamed up with Fran her mother and grandmother. Now that would have been hilarious.

I know! I remember that! Hmm.

What is Nadia sick with? Like, the flu?

It might be available in certain stores in your area, but only a few stores are carrying it...

She's an indie artist and I respect that. Did you know that Clockwork Entertainment is associated with P. Diddy's Bad Boy Entertainment?

Yeah. I think they should've done a better job at distributing though. I know a lot of Jasmine fans who still don't have the album yet because the only place they can order it is online. . If they gave it to Target, Walmart, FYE, etc, her sales would have been triple the number it is now.

Hmmm if Nadia had been 10th place, I'd say 10th place is cursed too - Remember when Amy was sick? *prays Jess doesn't get sick*
