This is question about the movie Cocoon with steve gutenburg, when cocoon came out on video back in the late 80s a friend of mine who is a movie buff that misses nothing in a movie said that Ron Howard not only directed cocoon but he did a cameo in the movie, now I have watched this film over over and over again through the years and tried to pick out the part that has ron howard in it and I can not find him anywhere in the movie and i have asked my friend to point him out and he said then and is still saying today that I have to find him myself, and now the other day him and I were at it again as I bought the dvd of cocoon and I called him a liar which is what I think he is, so if any movie buffs have seen ron howard in front of the camara instead of just behind it could you please point out the scene where he is to me thank you, because I still think my friend has been lying to me all these years.

ah, your friend has probably mistakenly identified Wilford Brimley as Ron Howard, I can see how this would happen as it is VERY had to tell the two apart. But rest assured that it is IS the consumate actor, Wilford Brimley in front of the camera, and the lovely Ron Howard BEHIND the camera.

Yes I know that Clint Howard is in this movie infact clint is in just about every one of ron howards movies although i do not know why he never could act very good I guess mom told ron to be nice to his little brother.
