Default Memories

Yeah, I'm planning on getting The Muppet Show Season One DVD. I think watching the DVD will bring back some memories. Sitting down with friends and just watching the Muppet Show and making us laugh!

I read in some other forums that some peoples copies didn't have the fuzz cover, mine did, hopefully everyone else's here had it too.

Most stores had a split selection between fuzzy covers. Purchasing online...well...hope for the best.

mine has the fuzz cover (im betting future seasons will be PIGGY, FOZZY, GONZO, ANIMAL)

i'm loving it so far (trying to savor it) - i dont know if the gag reel is cut - how could you tell?

one thing that confuses me about the edits that Seth mentioned - Paul Williams was one of the writers of the music for various Muppet projects, and still has a pretty close relationship to them, so I don't understand why his song would be cut...

http://www.muppetcentral.com/guides/...williams.shtml
Quote:
The Paul Williams episode was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy-Variety or Music Series.

This marks the beginning of Paul Williams' collaborations with the Muppets. He would later write the music for "Emmett Otter's Jug-band Christmas," "The Muppet Movie" (and provides a cameo), and "The Muppet Christmas Carol".
Twenty-five years later, Paul would be the special guest star at the Muppets' first fan convention, MuppetFest, where he participated in a panel discussion and played a special grand finale medley during a live performance of "The Muppet Show".
the song appears on a Paul Williams two-disc collector’s edition DVD, I'm Going Back There Someday

I received my "Muppet Show" set from Amazon.com yesterday, and I got the fuzzy cover! It is very cool. I am really enjoying this series. Loved it since I watched it originally in the '70s and '80s.

I hope future season releases will be spaced within 3 to 6 months of each other, and not 12 months. I don't want to wait 4 years to get season 5 with Linda Ronstadt and Debbie Harry!

I bought S1 of The Muppet Show the day it came out. I don't regret it one bit!! It was WELL worth every penny!! I got the fuzzy cover too I hadn't seen a lot of the S1 episodes, so this was an extra special treat. I know we only see the Muppets only once in a while now but they've always been one of my favorites. You really do forget you are watching puppets that are controlled by someone. The Muppet Performers are a very talented group that make the Muppets almost human. Anyhow, I really enjoyed S1 and am hoping for S2. I am also hoping the more recent "Muppets Tonight" will eventually get to DVD too!

Someone answer this for me..

Okay, on the Muppet Babies show, there was Scooter and Skeeter. Why wasn't Skeeter on the muppet show? I never saw her anywhere except on the cartoon series. She wasn't in any of the movies. Also, what species were they?
