Missing characters. - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey, I am new here so if this question has been asked already, sorry. What was up with the eliminations of the characters of Lana, Liz and Billie. Also, was there ever any explanation on the show as to where these characters went?

In a nut shell, Karen Austin (Lana) and Paula Kelly (Liz) wanted to move on to other things. Ellen Foley (Billie) was fired once Markie Post was released from her "Fall Guy" contract since Markie was Reinhold Weege's first choice to be a part of his cast. None of their departures were ever explained.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned why about Gail Strickland's character was only on the very 1st ep. and not in the rest of S1. Why was that?

I bet you that Ellen Foley probably couldn't act to save her own life anyway. Even though Markie Post, can grind my nerves sometimes, too.

I was going to mention the "Shelia Gardner" character, but since she was only in the pilot, I figured that she didn't warrant any type of comment because she wasn't on the show long enough for any fans to come to like/wonder about.
