My Son the Lover? Because in the episode, J.J was sad that Marcy had a boyfriend but from the looks of Marcy, there was no reason for him to be sad-lol They should have had a more attractive women play Marcy Jones

Solomon, I agree. I thought that when I saw this episode when I bought the season 1 dvd. I think it might be the hair. It was way to short. She seemed to be cute, but she had a boy's hair cut. Thelma was prettier than her.

The girl is beautiful, i believe it's the hair. It seems to me that back in those days that was the style. It was either the afro or the real short cut. I have a question but I don't want to offend. Why do the girls get their hair cut so short like that? Or is it because it doesn't grow out very much? I'm kinda getting off the good times topic but anyone who watches Different World can see my point with the character of Jaleesa. She had nice shoulder length hair. Very beautiful, then in another episode it was cut right down to her scalp. No, it was not a wig she was wearing. Ugh, it made her look so manly, so ugly. Why????? I have seen her in so many diff. movies, programs where she had her hair long and it is beautiful. I just don't get it.
