I noticed that Jimmie Walker was missing from a couple of episodes. Was this planned or did he have some sort of falling out too?

He was only absence from one episode during the john amos era and that episode was "rent party" i know he was missing a lot in season 6

Well he did do two movies while he was on Good Times so that might play a factor as to why he was missing from a few episodes. Also in the 70's he was an stand up comedian. He was a stand up comedian before he was even on Good Times. So he was prob on the road, it's hard to juggle three different jobs at onces.

None of the actors appeared in all of the year 6 shows. I would guess that they wrote it into their contracts that they would get a certain number of weeks vacation that season. I just rewatched the year 2 dvd and I think Willona is only in about 13 shows, although when I watched these shows as a youngster I never noticed that she wasn't in them.

Yeah, I just realized Michael wasn't in "My Son, the lover." Thanks to Solomon of course.

But if you think abt it, maybe it was in their contracts that they may not always be in an episode. Can you imagine always trying to write lines for all the characters for whatever the premise of the episode might be? I don't know. just a thought.

I didn't envy the writers of that show with all the tension and in fighting that was going on.
