Well some of the shows you mentioned weren't "hits" (Phyllis, Sanford Arms, That's My Mama)
I'd say the era where the most HITS came out was 1984-1988 Cosby Show Night Court Growing Pains Kate & Allie Golden Girls Valerie/Hogan Family Designing Women Perfect Strangers Head of the Class Full House A Different World Wonder Years Roseanne Alf and I may be forgetting some 1968-1972 was the biggest era for groundbreaking sitcoms I think All in the Family Mary Tyler Moore Show Julia Maude ... I mean, those 4 right there are 4 of the most groundbreaking of all-time |
