I don't know why the Knicks would want him when they know he can't commit to one team

That's true, but since this is where he lives, maybe he'll stay a little longer.

Hopefully he will get the Knicks going, that would be good for the NBA.

I think it was a 2 way deal. He kept waiting for them to fire him so he could collect his money from his contract and the Pistons kept waiting for him to quit so they wouldn't have to pay him. It was bush league of him to be talking to the Cavs during the playoffs. And since he does live there maybe he'll stay. Nah. I don't believe it either.

To get that team going they need to get rid of Isiah Thomas. He has got to be the worst GM in the business!

How long will he be with them for, a year? He was forced out of Philly because he and AI didn't get along, he didn't get along with players in Detriot, and had other head coaching jobs in the NBA in the past, dang, I'm beginning to think Larry Brown himself is the problem. The Knicks need more than Brown to be their savoir. He should make this his last stop and then retire. I'll give him 1-2 years. You see he's not dedicated to any team. Then the headlines will read, "Larry Brown and Allen Houston at odds!"
