ok here is my problem my computer waqs running awesome really nice and now its running like crap. i use dvd shrink with dvd43 running in the back ground to rip my dvds and nero to copy. i have 2 burners and a p4 2.20 ghz. i use a deminsion 2400. well i added a stick of ram and now its taking and hour to burna dvd in nero and like 3 hours to rip one in dvd shrink i took out the ram and its still running like garbage any suggestions?????

update problem solved 4 now

I don't know if this is the same problem, but my burner sometimes putzes out on me as well. I just unplug it, plug in an old one and reboot, rip from it for about 10 seconds, then shut down again, re-plug in my regular burner and all's well. I have to do this every 1-2 weeks. I'm using LG burners.

back up your computer and reistall shrink and see what happen also do a disc frag

this is weird cuz i have 2 burners and every 2 weeks i have to switch them mak one a master and the the other the slave and then the other way around the next time. i did that and they are working 4 the time being i was jsut trying to find away arount this. also i have 1 aopen and 1 plexter. i can get and aopen 16x burner for 50 bucks brand new
