Reality TV is Drama
I believe that Reality TV, well, certian reality tv shows, are accurate representations of human drama.
Shows like American Idol don't seem to be, or even the real world or survivor. but a show like Rockstar, in which people compete to become the lead singer of INXS, seems much realer to me! In last night's episode, this guy called JD criticized brandon for huntching over during a performance, saying that Brandon was "ashamed of his height" you should have seen the looks he got from the other contestants when he enters the room. people react to his comments. it's real! it's not scripted. and it's NEW. it's not hackneyed like Idol, it doesn't have a pretentious british guy putting everyone down, it has a real-life rockstar: Dave Navarro. Say what you will about my post. sometimes the best drama can be found on reality shows like Rockstar. |
