Now that I've seen a post about the top worst shows, I'm thinking about doing a post about best TV shows ever made, so here it goes:

SIX FEET UNDER- hands down is THE BEST television series I've EVER seen!

Hate to spoil it but there is no such thing as the greatest tv show, everyone has a diiferent opinion of what they feel is the greatest and the same go's for the worst as well.

Best Drama: Little House on the Prairie
Best Western: Bonanza
Best Sci-Fi: Star Trek (the original series)
Best Kids' Show: Howdy Doody
Best Cartoon: Huckleberry Hound, Rocky & His Friends (tie)
Best Variety Show: Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In
Best Detective Show: Columbo
Best Anthology Show: Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color
Best Sit-Com: I Love Lucy, The Andy Griffith Show (tie)
Best Game Show: Hollywood Squares (the original)
Best Superhero: The Incredible Hulk, Batman (tie)
Best Animal Show: Lassie

This is so very true which is why I hate when critcs list their Top-10 best (movies/TV/music) whatever because it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Like for example if a critic points to Seinfeld as the greatest TV show ever some 5 year old kid is going to say Spongebob Squarepants is the best, you can't come to an agreement.

Entertainment Weekly magazine had an issue a couple of months ago that had was about the 100 best in movies, music and tv shows. The 100 best tv shows article had I Love Lucy at #1. They also had lists for best dramas, comedies, sci fi, etc. Look for that issue in your local library.

Best Drama: Perry Mason

Best Western: Have Gun, Will Travel

Best Sci-Fi: Babylon 5

Best Variety Show: Hee Haw. Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In was a good contender.

Best Sit-Com: Beverly Hillbillies

Best Superhero: Superman
