Default Read these numbers and it will prove how stupid a cable network TV LAND really is.

During this weekend's Marathon, TV LAND will air a total of 96 eps, out of those 96 eps, 59 of them are without John Amos and the other 37 are with John Amos. I would think TV LAND would air all the Amos eps instead of airing the ones without him. So right now it's Sunday Evening and watching these stupid Child Abuse Eps about Penny. TV LAND can really kiss my a* What a dumb a$$ network. Shouldn't have been 59 WITH amos and 37 WITHOUT him. Once again, it's an IDIOT in charge of TV LAND Programming

If most of the eps were with Amos, the edited eps would not matter to me. There are 133 eps of GT and a total of 61 with Amos. So i know it couldn't be Amos eps all weekend but the ones without him should have been between 1am and 8am. Another poor airing job by TV LAND

They probably didn't want to show all the JA episodes because then people wouldn't have nothing to look forward to when it joined the regular lineup.

If all the John Amos eps are on DVD then why do you care? Just turn off your TVLand and go watch your DVDs and stop complainin'.

Look, they're showing a 48-hour marathon of a show you obviously really like. That's a lot of time to devote to one mediocre 70's show. Don't insult them.

Good Point. But then again I am glad that TV Land is airing Good Times; though I have most of the episodes on DVDs, I am happy to see one of my favorite shows on a popular network.

I think there was probably an emphasis on the Penny episodes because of how big a star Janet Jackson has become since.

Solomon, I know you aren't very fond of Penny, but there were some really good episodes without John Amos.

Yes I agree, I never seen Good Times when they were in reruns. So I really wanted to see all of the episodes with John Amos when the marathon came on. The episodes without him are still watchable but something was lost when he left. I prefer the ones with John Amos in it but I still enjoyed the marathon anyway. But I do agree they should have shown all of the episodes with him in it and then all of the others.

Yes they were but not many from season 5, except for when J.J friends came over. I felt my blood pressure go up when penny said in one episode last-"DYNOMITE" I couldn't take it no more and turned it off

I know the earlier seasons were the best but watching the season 5 and 6 episodes yesterday, I think the show held up pretty well. I hadn't seen some of the episodes in a long time but they weren't nearly as bad as I thought they were from hearing people talk about them. But I guess it helps that Penny didn't bother me.

I just don;t understand why some male fans of GT preferred Penny over
