I think it's an OK trade if Nevin approves it. Nevin hit a lot better when the Padres played at Qualcomm Stadium. His power is to right-center and that is the deepest area of Petco Park at 411 feet. Ponson would benefit from playing in the NL. In 2003 he was traded to the Giants and posted decent numbers there. But I don't know. |

Brian, your team is getting the short end of the deal here. Ponson is horrible! He stunk in Baltimore and believe me, he stunk in San Francisco. My friend is a huge Giants fan and he regretted the day the Giants traded for him.

I doubt Nevin will ever want to leave the west coast. He has a home there and is originally from California.
He will stay with the Padres, but I'm sure if he doesn't produce he won't be in the lineup. I don't see why the Orioles would want him. They have plenty of offense. They need another pitcher or two. The Orioles should have never re-signed Ponson after they traded him to the Giants. |

I read that he rejected the trade. I couldn't see him going anywhere. If he is ever going to be traded it will be to either the A's or the Angels.
