Post Mary & Rhoda

How many people watched the ABC orginal movie Mary & Rhoda. Were Valerie Harper and Mary Tylor Moore reunite. I watched it and taped it. I liked it. The only thing I wish they would have done is had a cameo or something with Cloris Leachman as Phyllis.

I saw it, and tried to tape it, but I taped the stupid space channel instead! I loved it though.

Feb. 7th of last year. It was a made for TV movie starring Mary and Valerie. It was pretty good although the critics were incredibly harsh! If anyone wants a copy of the movie, let me know. My email address is: Mary RichardsFan@aol.com

That movie sucked! Phyllis should have been in it just like the FOL reunion should have her in it. SHE WAS APART OF THESE SHOWS! SHE SHOULD BE INCLUDED!!!!

Excuse me? Maybe I didnt hear you right. Did you just say it sucked? Yes, true Cloris was a good character on the MTM cast but she wasn't THAT good. Have you ever read reviews about that show? People said it made them sad when Valerie left but when Phyllis left the show improved. Maybe they titled the show "Mary and Rhoda" BECAUSE IT WAS ABOUT MARY AND RHODA YOU DOUCHE. If I ever hear you say that MTM sucked I will hunt you down and make you watch Full House reruns while I bitch slap you!!

Did it ever occur to you that the movie was called Mary and Rhoda because that was who it was about?? If you listened to Mary while she was doing press for the movie, she said that this was not a reunion in that they were looking back at the show, that's why no mention was made of the other characters. I definitely agree some mention of their names should have been made, but the movie did NOT suck!!!

Cool

Phyllis was a great character and I love Cloris Leachman too. But Mary and Rhoda have a wonderful, true friendship. Yes Phyllis was Mary's good friend, but not in the same way that Rhoda is. And Phyllis and Rhoda didn't care for each other much at all. This movie was about these 2 women in their 50's adjusting to being single again and trying to find work and dealing with their college aged daughters. Phyllis has been there, done that.

I'm glad you apologized. I didn't mean to call you a douche, either. And for the record Cloris was great in Young Frankenstein.

I thought it was good! I taped it off ABC, but then later got ahold of a widescreen factory copy with no commercials and ABC logos!
