dvd transfer question - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

hello

im just starting to transfer my vhs tapes to dvd!!i was wondering if someone can kindly explain to me the process to making menus on the dvds..thanks for the help

After u record your movie(do not finalize) go to setup or whichever button to access the menu. Now edit the menu and you should see the character box.
press each character or letter to name your movie.
I have 2 different dvd recorders and the problem i find is - the Ilo dvdr04 is limited to only 8 characters and the Sanyo DRW500 to 10 characters.(if there is a firmware update to fix this, someone lmk.)
So heres what i do, i use a rewritable dvdrw to record my vhs on, then i go to the pc and use VideoReDo, to cut commericals, to join files, etc... Then i use TMPGenc DVD Author to create menus, then burn.
