Ok, I'm talking with this woman at imdb.com and we're fighting about John's last movie. She says John's last movie was not Bad Santa. She said "His last movie was a true story about an abusive husband that kills his wife with a shotgun". And she doesn't know if it was ever released. (if you want to see this thread it's at imdb.com and type in John Ritter) She also said that "John was in a living room holding a shot gun and yelling at his wife. He was shouting 'Tell them!!!' then he aimed the gun and shot her". I was wondering if anyone knew if this was true or not.

Pav, do you have any idea?

I've never heard of this movie and I think they would've mentioned it in those biographies. I thought it was Bad Santa but it was Clifford's Really Big Movie, in which he did the voice for.

Cliffords really big movie was his last movie. The movie you're describing sounds like it could be Man Of The Year. According to yahoo it was released on December 5, 2003. Bad Santa was released on November 26, 2003. I always thought his last movie was Bad Santa too.

I was thinking that it was "Man of The Year" as well. It was actually made in 2002, so that could not have been his last movie. It wasn't released on DVD until March 15, 2005, coincidently on Three's Company's 28th anniversary. "Clifford's Really Big Movie" was his last movie according to his filmography.

Production wise, Clifford's Really Big Movie was his last movie he made. He voiced that in early 2003. He made Bad Santa and Manhood just before 8 Simple Rules started production. And Man of the Year was made just before those too.

No, it was 'Manhood'. 'Man Of The Year' was filmed in one entire night during the summer with 26 cameras going at the same time with no scrpit. I've seen both movies, and I must say that their both very different characters for John to play, but he did (as always a fantastic job!)
