Default If Lt. Murtah had stuck around

Did you guys ever think of how interesting it would have been if Lt. Murtah had stuck around after Season 4? I thought he would have fit in well to some of the storylines that took place after the charachter's departure. For instance in the episode when Carl first takes the Lieutenant's exam Lt. Murtah could have felt very inimidated by the fact that he would no longer have any control over Carl and try to discourage Carl from taking it telling him how hard it was when he took it, and that he makes a fine Sgt. just as he his. After Carl becomes a Lietenant, him and Lt. Murtah would still be friends, only now he wouldn't be Carl's boss. In the episode when Carl becomes the Captain during the last Season, Lt. Murtah could have been the one running against Carl for the Captain's position, and after Carl gets it, Lt. Murtah would get very jealous since he had been a Lietenant longer than Carl, and decide to leave the Police Force for good, Carl would then track him down at whatever job he was doing (probably something odd like a waiter or Salesman) and tell him what a fine officer he was and talk him into coming back to work for him.

What does everyone else think of these ideas?

He was cool! I actually kinda wanted him & Rachel to hook up. Didn't Rachel leave by Season 4. He seemed like he disappeared right along with her.

Yeah the last time Lt. Murtah was on was in a season 4 episode when Carl and Steve were in the Hospital. Rachael was a little shooken up over what happened to Carl, and Lt. Murtah put his arm around Rachel and said....

Lt.: Don't worry Rachel, he'll be just fine. I will see to it.

Rachel: Why is your arm around me?

Lt. Your'e emotionally vulnerable right now, so i'm making a move.

Rachel: Your'e lucky.

Lt. Murtah: I am?

Rachel: Yeah. You won't have to go far for medical treatment.

Lt. Murtah: I guess your'e one of those chicks who won't loosen up without booze!

He was okay, but I wished Rachel would have stayed on the whole time.

Captain Davenport was another boss that Carl had in a season 1 eps, he was also mentioned in a season 2 eps, but he seems forgotten when Captain Savage comes along.
