Exclamation EPISODE TO BE RELEASED ON DVD!

DVDEmpire.com has announced a compilation Christmas release called Classic TV Christmas with Yuletide favorites from: Benson, Bewitched, Maude, Barney Miller, and The Facts of Life. Original retail cost is 19.99, but if you pre-order the dvd now it is marked down to 13.96. The release date is scheduled for September 13th, 2005.

We are uncertain of which and how many episodes will be released with each series. A list of cast members in the episodes at the time are available on the site.

Please remember Sony may cancel this item at anytime and the release date is not definite.

This may not be the actual release date. September 13 titles have aleady been announced by Sony, and this was not listed. I think if this ever comes out, it'll be in November or December, and not in September. I can tell you now, Sept. 13 is NOT the date.

This would be great if it really gets released!! At least it shows that Sony has done a little bit of tampering with Maude.

I don't know how many Maude X-mas episodes there are. I'm only familar with the one where Walter's employees state at the X-mas party that they want the appliance store to go union. Anybody know of anymore Yuletide Maudes out there?

Season 4 Episode 14: "The Christmas Party"
Maude's old friend Stephanie, a women's liberator, causes tensions between herself and Walter. Walter doesn't like her because she's always discussing women's rights.

Season 5 Episode 13: "Walter's Christmas Gift"
Walter, Arthur, and Dr. Hubie Binder buy an appliance store as partners, with the agreement that Arthur and Hubie be silent partners, while Walter runs the business with complete control. However, the two "silent" partners do not remain silent.

Season 6 Episode 11: "Maude's Christmas Surprise"
Maude has a very special Christmas planned, although it appears that it will not be a special Christmas, because Carol and Phillip will not be there, Victoria does not want to be there, and the ham has not arrived. However, when Maude finds a baby on the porch, things begin to get better.

Thanks. I'd love to see these other three X-mas shows. I must admit Maude's Christmas Surprise sounds like a Hallmark original movie directed by Michael Landon, Jr.

The Maude selection has been totally removed from my Tube Time. They are only showing four programs- Diff'rent Strokes, Barney Miller, Three Stooges, and Facts of Life. I'm still hoping they will acquire One Day at a Time since it is a Sony title.
