Swedeace........ Family Plots is a reality show centered in a funeral home. The show is about the people who work in the funeral home. They are a family and some of them are friends and co-workers. They have the Embalmer, The owner, The person who receives the grieving families at the funeral home. (He or she shows them the funeral packages like the coffins, songs, etc.) The father goes to the hospital to pick up the dead persons and takes them to the funeral home. It's a show centered around the funeral home and sometimes you see the dead people. Sometimes in the coffin. The show is also a comedy.

Yeah I do. What a disfunctional family eh? Quite the soap opera! I like the female mortician daughter the best (I forget her name off-hand). She seems to have the most sense of all of them.

The poor former minister walking in on THAT joint! I ended up liking this show better than Six Feet Under - because it is real. Looking forward to the new season.

Ewwww.... that doesn't sound appealing. I should've realized it was very reality show-esque. Thanks for explaining.

I so love this show. I enjoy seeing the family and how they interact with each other. I have seen every episode and I like that one where the dad had a van full of boys with a cardboard box that had a body in it that he needed to take to the airport. Crazy!!!!

It's an A&E show about a family that owns a mortuary.

I've known a couple of funeral directors in the past. You wouldn't believe some of the stories they've told me. Don't believe for a minute they go around speaking in hushed, respective tones all day long!

One home I know, several of the funeral directors are also motorcyle buffs and they use the "freight" elevator (one used for moving the caskets) to move and store their bikes in the home's basement over the winter.

Also have heard some pretty funny stories about body preparation and the trials and tribulations that can happen.

I love this show btw - what a soap opera!!

isn't it insane??? maybe it's just an assumption on our part abt mortuaries, but when you deal with death all day long, you need to laugh. I know that the business isn't all hush hush, but on the show, it just seems that they are always "behind" or short-handed. I love it.
