Does anyone notice that in the first season his name is "Jesse Cochran" but later on in the series it is "Jesse Katsopolis" (SP?).....

Yeah, and what gets me is that sources say that it was the episode when his Greek Grandparents visit that they switched his name from Cochran to Katsopolis, yet that episode was the premire episode of Season 4, and Jessie's last name switched to Katsopolis in Season 2. So there must be another reason, and theyr'e just using that reason to cover things up.

I have watched Full House forever, and I just caught it today when I was watching it.

Why would they change his name?

I heard that the actor, John Stamos, wanted to have the name changed to reflect his OWN Greek heritage.

According to Mary-Kate & Ashley's biography "Our Story", "Jesse's last name was Cochran, but in the 4th season, he changed to its family's greek name Katsopolis". That's what it says in the book.

On the season 1 DVD they talk about it changing during the second season. John wanted to reflect his greek heritage.

It makes sense that they changed his last name, because he is greek and Cochran is not a greek name, but Katsopolis is, I also think Katsopolis fits him better than Cochran, too

I believe the correct spelling would be "Katsopolis".

The new name fit him better and it was geek so it worked better. It is wierd to have the last name change but it isn't that noticable so it doesn't reallt matter.
