For sitcoms, which do you think, on paper, sounds like it could be funny? For example, my favorite sitcom is "NewsRadio." However, the premise "people working at an all-news radio station" doesn't sound too funny.
This also goes for shows that you don't like but sound like they could be funny, if done right. My list of great sitcom plots: #1. "The Odd Couple" - A neat freak and a slob, both divorced men, live in an apartment together. #2. "Mister Ed" - A married man, who spends most of his time in the barn with a talking horse. The horse, only talks to this man. #3. "Strangers with Candy" - A 45 year old high school freshman. Nuff said. #4. "The Munsters" - A family of monsters, who are unaware that the world is afraid of them. And the one "normal" member of the family is considered to me the weird member. What other shows can you add to the list? You can also add shows that you like, but don't have a funny premise (such as "NewsRadio", my earlier example). |

Three's Company - loved that apartment and the layout.
Other posh pads include Cosby Show and The Nanny - nice! But the favourite is Punky Brewster's treehouse - the ultimate in living space!!! |

TVADAM : Wrong grammar buddy, it should've read "Which sitcom had the best premise"? |

Well I suppose a sitcom doesn't need a good premis to be good... e.g. Seinfeld. However... I like:-
Facts of Life - Girls at a boarding school... kinda unique Golden Girls - There's life after 50! Cosby Show - I love big families and their trials & tribulations Fresh Prince - The homeboy in Beverly Hills |

Seinfeld-A show about nothing was a really creative Idea
ALF-An Alien crashes into a dull suburban families place and livens it up |

"The Odd Couple" has the funniest premise, hands down. I really can't think of anything that tops it.
