Question Poll about police officers

How have police officers been to you when they pulled you over? The two times my dad was
pulled over in Saint Charles, our city's finest were polite and models of professionalism.

When I had my wreck they were really nice but when I was a kid this one pulled my dad over for a headlight being out and he was an ass and accused him of drunk driving. They're all different so I'm not going to vote and generalize them as one extreme or another.

The only time I dealt with a police officer was when I got in my car accident. He didnt really say much.

they always seemed perfectly polite whenever they threw me onto the hood of my car for absolutely no reason.

As with all groups of people, there are nice ones and rude ones.

my dad got pulled over the other day because the little sticker on the license plate fell off (it had been placed over the june 05 one so he was driving with an expired tag without knowing it) and the officer was really nice and shook his hand. a few years ago he got pulled over for passing in a no passing zone and he was saying "sorry we were just coming home from phoenix, my daughter was in the state spelling bee" and the officer asked him how i did in the spelling bee while he was writing the ticket. lolllz.

so all the ones i've seen are nice.

Depends on the situation and the officer. I vote both.

I've always shown them respect and have received it back. You just don't argue with cops - its not worth it.

I can't choose one side or the other as I'm sure there are some of both. As a youth, my brother was beaten by a cop (around 1968), but that's only one cop out of thousands.

I would say it depends on experience. Most cops are good and try to help people but there are some who take advantage of the position. It's annoying how they always seem to catch those going slightly over the speed limit but they don't get people going extremly fast.

When I got pulled over I was shirtless and the cop said that anyone my size should always cover up.

Both. My family has had both good and bad experiences with the police around here.
