The major US networks aren't the only channels getting ready for the new fall TV season. A number of Canadian channels are also putting their schedules out. I'll post a few of them over the next couple of weeks, specifically those that carry vintage series from the 60s to the 80s. The first one I want to show you is the Crossroads Television System, which is commonly known as CTS. When CTS hit the air in 1999, I was crazy about some of the great series they carried, like "My Three Sons" and "Family Affair", for example. Today it is a mere shadow of its former self, as will become evident when you look at its schedule:
http://www.falltvpreview.com/channelinfo.php?id=148 This is basically the same lineup they've had for the last couple of years, only most of the shows got shuffled around and are now featured at different time slots, like "Happy Days", which moves from 7:30 to 4:00 pm. Overall, I give CTS a failing grade. They really needed to make some changes and refused to do so, instead sticking to the same old garbage, which has ended up making me an ex-viewer. The moral of this story is obvious: Never underestimate the viewing power of 8 year old girls. They'll be thrilled with this lineup. Others beware! |

Looks like their edited version of Happy Days also airs on Mondays at 7:30PM. I miss Family Affair. I wish they would release it on DVD.

Hey Jenya, guess what? "Family Affair" is coming back, and "Leave It To Beaver", too, but it won't be on CTS. Instead it will be on a new channel that you may have heard about called Toronto 1. Here's the good news for you: Toronto 1 is available on channel 213 on the Bell ExpressVu satellite system. I'll post the full details once I read their official fall schedule. In the meantime, here's a little tip to consider: Keep your lunch hours open! All this plus a full season of hockey to look forward to! I can't wait! |

![]() Thanks Sal. Just after Now TV in Vancouver dropped Family Affair another Toronto station picked it up. Now I'm very happy.
