Notice how closely one woof woof looks like the Lon Chaney version of the wolfman.
And the ear extensions on Butch really stand out as well.

Here are pictures from a movie with Lon Chaney Jr. aka The Wolf Man.

Pic 1 - Opening title from the movie I got the pix from.
Pic 2 - Lou Costello & Bud Abbott. Classic comedians.
Pic 3 - Bela Lugosi as Dracula. That was Grandpa in his younger days, before the sideburns.
Pic 4 - Glenn Strange as the Frankenstein Monster. Glenn also played Sam the Bartender on Gunsmoke. Also, doesn't Glenn's version of the monster, look a lot like Fred Gwynne's version of the monster?
