Default Interesting thing about Janet....

If you watch the first two seasons of TC, Janet seems feminin, yet somewhat tomboyish, and she kind of has a Broncish/New York accent. In the later years, she seems very girly, very sensitive, less trusting of Jack, and her accent goes away. She sure did change a lot! LOL! Don't get me wrong, Janet is my favorite female character on the show, I just don't like the way she acted toward Jack in some of the later episodes. For example, in "The Charming Stranger" she was really rude to Jack by rubbing the British guy(forgot his name. LOL!) in Jack's face. She could have been a little more kind about it. She was also very snippy with him in "Janet Shapes Up" when she wouldn't even let him explain about Tina. The old Janet seemed a little more understanding. This is all just my opinion. What do you guys think?

You have a good point there! I agree with everything you said. I liked her in earlier seasons. She was so laid back and later on she seemed more tense. It was also like she couldn't take a joke later on in late seasons. Like you said, the old Janet was more understanding.

I noticed that as well...I also notice Jack become more on edge when he got that Bistro....work-related stress?

I noticed that too! Maybe it's because Janet and Terri were kind of mean to him sometimes! LOL! He needed to exert some testosterone!(I'm horrible at spelling!)

Yeah I think Janet did become a little bit more tense I guess. Maybe that proves that people change when they get older.

I remember reading in Come And Knock On Our Door that Joyce wanted to loose Janet's character up a bit, and I think that's why her character changed so much. Janet is my favorite female character (tied with Chrissy) and I liked her throughout all the seasons regardless of how tense her character was. I also noticed that in the later season she had more of an attitude with Jack, but personally, I thought it was hilarious! I every time she yells at him and Jack looks like he's scared of her! LOL! For example, in "And Baby Makes Two" when she yells at him at the end for thinking she was trying to hire a father for her "baby", he shrinks down in the sofa!

OMG I was just thinking how Janet is so mean to Jack later. Especially in "The Charming Stranger"!!! I just saw it today and thought how mean she and Terri were being to Jack. I kind of felt sad for him.

I think that Janet was always the one in control or at least she tried to be b/c Jack was always getting into trouble and she just felt she needed to keep everyone up like a mom or something! I totally love it when she gets onto Jack b/c I know he tries to be sweet about it and then we sometimes have JJ moments!! The show needed that balance! So I wouldn't change her ...I think she was fun all throughtout ...Jack though did seem more stressed at the end w/the bistro like everything bother him like Larry would try to say something funny or something and sometimes he was just to worry about the Bistro! I really don't lilke those epi very much! Anyhow JMO!

I didn't like how they trreated Jack either. especially in the episode when Maria's cousin was in Jack's room. Here is my question, why was janet and terri bothered by a woman being in Jack's room?-lol They wasn;t going to give him any affection so why did it matter who was in his room. Same thing when they caught jack in his room over the restarunt and Terri and Janet to surprise him but saw the girl inside. What business was it of theirs to know who was in his room OVER the Bistro

They wanted to suprise him with stuff to make him feel more relaxed when he had to stay there when he was working late. They were trying to be good friends.I think it would be very nice for them to do that for me if I was in Jack's place

Being a good friend was fine but they still didn;t have a right to get upset because a woman was in his room. They were not his girlfriends, only friends.
