TV Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks, the guy who played a crossdresser on the Bottom-of-the-barrel awful sitcom " Bosom Buddies " , IS "the greatest actor of our time"....Boggles the mind, doesnt it?

I personally don't think that Tom Hanks is the best actor in the world, but I certainly think he's one of the best. He knows how to pick great roles. He just knocked me out in Philadelphia.

Bosom Buddies...you gotta start somewhere. Today he's got a couple of Oscars on his mantle.

Thumbs up

Yeah I have to agree with Janice. I thought Bosom Buddies was goofy too, but he's sure done a lot better than Peter Scolari (who, of the two I liked better initially).

I'd said he's earned a lot of respect over the years. He's amazed me in several of his movies - like Apollo 13 and Forrest Gump - right up there at the top of my list!

I'm not going to say he's the best. He is one of my personal favorites though. I mean it's like he touches something, and it turns into gold or something. The man can act, direct, and I believe he also produces too. He seems like just an average guy, somebody that everybody can relate to.

Bosom Buddies wasn't THAT bad of a show.

I actually miss "fun" Tom Hanks, he's too pretentious and Oscar-minded these days, I liked him back in the 80's when he was about making fun movies instead of aiming for Oscars.

I really like Tom Hanks. He's one of my personal favorites. I think his movies are really good and he is a great actor. Plus..I just love Forrest Gump!

That "average guy" thing is what MAKES him great ....think of the great classic movie actors: Humphrey Bogart, Henry Fonda and Jimmy Stewart, they could be anyone of us, and thats WHY they were the greatest, To me, Tom Hanks is the true heir to this legacy....who'd have thunk it when he was on Bosom Buddies??* * the whole point of this thread
