Default some news I think you might be glad to know

I was looking at Home Theater Forum and a WTB fan there posted that one of her friends emailed Sony, and instead of the standard emails, actually received a "Sony is planning to have season two out by year end, but no confirmed date as of yet". I felt like mentioning it because I know how much you guys have been wanting more WTB on DVD and until now, there hadn't really been much word from Sony.

Yeah I saw that, I hope it's true. I honestly don't believe that Season 1 sold that poorly. I think it sold enough to warrant future releases. The show does have quite a following even now

That means we'll have all seasons out by 2012! (at this rate)

But thats awesome news. Season 2 was a great season..but I hope they have better special features this time. They should have cast commentaries

Sony really sucks for all shows besides Seinfeld. Now I love Seinfeld and I'm glad they're releasing them very quickly, but Sony has one of the best TV libraries of any company and they treat their shows like crap. It's sad because so many of my childhood favorites are owned by the company.

Paramount is highly criticized, but they seem to know how to do TV right and they seem committed to their shows (even though they've been doing too slow with Happy Days, Laverne And Shirley and Mork And Mindy). Just compare how they've released 2 seasons of Taxi (Tony Danza's OTHER big show) and season 3 is following shortly and Paramount's already guarenteed we'll see seasons 4 and 5 eventually, all in the span of time since WTB season 1 came out. Paramount generally seems more committed to following through while Sony seems to release a show than forget about it for years.

Sometimes I wonder if Sony does this on purpose, maybe they want to put such a long wait between seasons, that maybe they hope people forget about said show, and then they won't have to spend the money to release the rest of that show Just a thought

Oh I so hope this is true. I have been waiting so long for it.. just like all the other fans. And the girl I've been watching 9and known for years) keeps asking me, "When is Season 2 Coming out? Any news?" And now I can tell her too! yay.. .let's just really hope it's a true fact.

Wait, a second. I just thought of something last night or early this morning...

Did the person say that Sony told them it could be out by the end of the year? Becasue that is what they've been telling people now, and no date is still set... and I know you said that and also the thing about it not being a standard E-mail, but I'm not so sure now.

No im pretty sure its not a standererd email, the standererd one is used for all shows, while they actually mention "season 2" here
