Default Bill Parcells or Larry Brown?

With the recent actions of Larry Brown. He is the Bill Parcells of the NBA. Both come to a team to coach for a few years, but in that short time, the do a great job turning a team around.

Parcells had not coached as many teams as Brown, both have a lot of backage, which coach is worth it to put up with their backage.

Since I'm a Cowboy fan I'll go with Parcells. Its also a lot harder to turn a Football team around then it is a basketball team.

As a Cowboy fan, you do acept the fact that Parcells is probably not going stay with your team for a long time, and might coach another team? You won't get bent out of shape, if Parcells leaves the Cowboys and coaches another team.

When he was here in New York, coaching Jets, Jets fans didn't accept the fact that Parcells was not going to stay for a long time and he probably would coach another team. When Parcells signed with the Cowboys, they were bent out of shape. Samething with the Pistons owner right now, he is bent out of shapre Brown is looking at other teams to coach.

For the record, I am Giant fan. Anyway I am also a Knicks fan, and I hope Larry Brown coaches us next season, but I understand if he comes here, he will not be here very long and probably coach another team.

I know he won't be around for the long haul but as long as the Cowboys are a playoff team again I won't be too dissapointed I was angry when I saw Jimmy Johnson in Miami so I know how Giant and Jet fans feel but I accepted that this is the way it is when he came to Dallas. Hopefully he'll be here at least 3 more years.

The similarites between the Knicks now and the Cowboys before Parcells got there, is they are both desperate teams, whose fans just want to see some improvement.

Knick fans were upset when Pat Riley left. I can't speak for all Knicks, but a lot of them including me, knew Riley was having problems with the front office and a good chance he would not return as a Knick coach, but we were upset that he faxed his resignation. If he just had a press conference, answered question, most Knick fans would be cool with that.

Anyway, this thread is about Parcells and Brown. If Brown comes to the Knicks, I hope he stays atleast till the summer of 07, that is when Labran becomes a free agent, maybe Brown (with Nike's help) could lure James here.

I don't see Lebron coming to the Knicks. They are in salary cap hell for years to come.

Actully if the Knicks stand put and don't add anymore contracts, by 07 they will have salary cap space. Hopefully, we don't add no more bad contracts, but when you have one of the worst owners in sports James Dolan owning your team, who knows.

Larry Brown would help the Knicks, but what they really need is to get a new owner.
