Default How John Ritter Died...

Today I learned in Biology AP that John Ritter died from a hereditary disease and he died because he was under so much stress his aorta exploded and he bled to death. It was so sad I felt like crying. I never knew that.

I think its awesome my teacher is a TC fan. She said that on set his aorta burst and he bled to death quickly. If that is true I wonder what he was so stressed out about.

John's death certificate says that he died of Aortic Dissection. It's a condition that he was born with. The thing that upsets me is that doctors could have noticed it years early with a simple chest x-ray and John could've had the surgery to fix it.

John Ritter died of what is called an aortic dissection. This occurs when the inner layer of the aorta's artery wall dissects. The most common reason why aortic dissections occur is because of high blood pressure. An aortic dissection is hard to detect, but it can be heredetary, as in this case with John. By the time the doctors finally found out what it was that John Ritter was suffering from, it was too late. There had already been too much leakage from the blood, so even if they would try to repair what had torn, it would just keep tearing. Very, very sad indeed.

Yea, you're right on the money, Cassandra...it's such a horrible, sad way to die. I only wish he could've detected this at an earlier time

Was John definatley born with it? I know they can be caused by high blood pressure, I would have thought that over the course of his live (for medical insurance) he would have needed scans (which could have shown this)?
